 Description:

Rainbow Studios is searching for a qualified Associate Environment Artist for our MX Franchise title.  
 

Associate Environment Artist Position Summary: Creates cohesive environmental
content such as architectural buildings, signage, terrain, skies, and ecosystems and integrates them into the game engine.

 
Essential Job Functions:
• Creates 3D high resolution environments and texture/normal maps
• Integrates assets into the game
• Participates in visual comparison and critiques
• Works within hardware limitations for project
• Meets deadlines with proficiency
• Uses commercially available digital art software competently
• Remains stationary for long periods of time while working in front of a
computer
• Manipulates a keyboard, mouse, and/or other input device
• Interacts and communicates effectively with management on both a project and
studio level
• Participates in studio-sanctioned training courses
• Performs other similar or related duties as necessary

Experience/Skills:
• 0-3 years of industry experience
• Working knowledge of MAX and/or other 3D software package, Photoshop, Z-Brush,
Alienbrain
• Understanding of proprietary tools and material shaders
• Thorough understanding of architecture and nature
• Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact
effectively
• Ability to multi-task and to adapt easily to change
• Associates (AA) degree from an accredited 2-year college or university or
equivalent industry experience
