Responsabilities:
Be inspired by the references and Graphic Artistic Director’s direction to understand and produce the quality to attain for the ambiances, perceptions to create
Familiarize yourself with the objects and environments created by the modelers, level artists and level designers.
Check if the textures exist already in the databases that can be used or as a starting point for new texures.
Plan the work required with the CP Graphic
Create or modify the texture(s) to facilitate its application and to avoid redundancy.
Work in collaboration with the modelers and level designers for retouches on the objects and environments
Utiliser la technique des normal maps afin de créer des effets de relief.
Optimize the texture data respecting the pixel ratio and the memory budget.
Archive the data regularly; respect the naming convention and the placement to facilitate the retrieval.
Qualifications and Technical Competencies:
AEC in modeling or other equivalent diplomas.
1 to 3 years experience as a texturer in video games or other equivalent experiences
Ability to create credible textures
Excellent knowledge of Photoshop and 3DS Max
Good knowledge of the mapping process
Strong illustration skills
Knowledge of Z-brush is an asset
Knowledge of materials (specular, reflection, diffuse,…)
