 Senior Image Synthesis & Rendering Software Engineer: Sony Pictures Imageworks, an Academy Award winning digital production studio, is seeking a software developer to join our core rendering team to help write and maintain a large scale production ray-tracer. The candidate would help us implement new algorithms to handle large scale production scenes and optimize the rendering pipeline. Required skills: * Strong software engineering skills in C & C++ * Several years experience in image synthesis and rendering including ray tracing and global illumination * strong 3D graphics & math background Desirable skills: * Experience writing a large scale production renderer * Knowledge of commercial renderers like Renderman, Mental Ray * Experience with high-performance computing platforms: Cell, GPU, Multi-core architectures.
